Hopea took 25 suffolk ewes to the Kyneton suffolk ewe sale selling all 25 ewes for a $660 average and topped the sale at $1,950 for Hopea 20/S075 an absolute cracking ewe which sold to Luke and Janine Barber. 


five new mature ewes, five ewe lambs and two ram lambs were purchased from the Kerangie Dispersal. Absolute ripping ewes!


A new stud sire purchased at the Adelaide Elite Sale! Sayla Park 17/18 was purchased for $10,500. This sire has the potential to take any stud to the next level, which is why I could not pass up the opportunity to purchase him! Semen is available for purchase, please email me for more details. 


Hopea 738, a July drop ewe by Hopea 16/605 "Black Caviar" and the Hopea ewe 13/318 won the July ewe class at Hamilton Sheepvention 2018 over around 20 other ewes which was a great achievement for the stud!

The first suffolk lambs for 2017 were born today! A ram and a ewe lamb from Akubra and out of a Hopea ewe!


The suffolk rams have been put out with their ewes, Hopefully many lambs to come in 5 months time!

Lambing 2016

Lambing has commenced for the suffolks! The first lambs are looking fantastic with many more to come having nearly 100 ewes to lamb!

New Genetics!


New Genetics purchased from the Glencraig Suffolk stud in Duranillin, Western Australia. We purchased 12 ewes which consisted of 7 mature aged ewes including the dam of the Reserve Champion ram at Adelaide in 2015 which sold for $6,500(Pictured). We also got 5 ewe lambs with top industry genetics and very handy lambplan figures. I would like to thank Donald Cochrane for his help in choosing ewes and being very helpful in guiding me!

We have purchased a new sire Otto 484/13 "Duke" from David and Helen Lieschke Walla Walla, NSW at the Bendigo sheep and wool show. this ram was very successful in the show ring including....

- Champion Ram Canberra Show

- 2nd place in class Dubbo feature show

- 3rd place in ram under 1 1/2 years Bendigo

His pedigree includes top quality New Zealand bloodlines including Collie Hills and Goldstream he is a great outcross for my stud and I am open for expressions of interest for semen from him. 

2014 Lambs

The 2014 lambs are dropping with fabulous results! Unfortunately we sadly lost our main sire "Ziggy" to sickness. But there are many good lambs coming out of his last drop. Bear Cub's Lambs are absolute rippers! To the left is the Deppeler ewe 1030 with her ewe lamb from Boomerang.

Suffolks Weaned!

Suffolk Lambs weaned yesterday on the 19/10/13. 30 lambs weaned at 12weeks+ for a 35kgs average over the lot with the stand out being a ewe at 50kgs. All lambs look solid and square and are growing rapidly!
